James originally joined Savills as a graduate in 2011 and now specialises in dilapidations consultancy, technical due diligence work and contract works management and administration.
After a month as an intern on Savills Summer Scheme, James joined Savills building & project consultancy division in London. Rotating through a number of different specialist teams over his three years of training, James chose to join the specialist dilapidations team on becoming chartered in 2014.
Prior to joining Savills, James pursued a lifelong passion in studying ancient history & archaeology as an undergraduate at Durham University. After three years studying the cities and ruins of the ancient world, he decided a career in surveying would nicely blend his passion for architecture and history with the modern and the practical. When not enjoying the charms of the city he likes to escape to the greenery of his native Surrey.
