Martin Heffron

Martin is experienced in all aspects of commercial building surveying but specialises in the area of dilapidations disputes and the provision of strategic lease advice to both Landlord and Tenant clients. Although London based, Martin represents clients throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He is co-head of Savills’ Central London Dilapidations & Lease Management team, as well as the Savills National Dilapidations service line-lead.

Martin was appointed to the RICS Dilapidations Steering Group in 2010 and assisted the RICS in the development of a specialist training course in dilapidations. He also assisted in negotiations with the Property Litigation Association on the formal adoption of the Dilapidations Pre-action Protocol.

Martin has been appointed as an expert witness on several occasions. He is referenced in the Preface of Dowding & Reynolds' 'Dilapidations: The Modern Law and Practice', the leading dilapidations practitioner's textbook.
