Rachel is an Associate Archaeologist and has worked in commercial archaeology for ten years following the completion of her PhD.
Rachel's recent experience on major infrastructure projects, including HS2, has involved the successful delivery of a significant number of archaeological investigations, from trial trenching through to large-scale mitigation. Rachel has experience in the EIA process and steering multi-disciplinary teams to delivery major projects. As part of this, Rachel has managed colleagues and key stakeholders to understand and mitigate archaeological impacts at scale.
Rachel is experienced in producing written schemes of investigation, desk-based assessments, and environmental statements. Rachel has experience in procuring and managing archaeological subcontractors to deliver the investigations at the highest standards, on complex projects, and to meet the clients program requirements.
Rachel has a passion for community engagement within archaeological investigations and the significant benefits it can bring to both clients and local areas.
