Alice Jones

Alice studied for a BA in Literae Humaniores (Classics) at Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford. Subsequently she worked as an archaeologist both in the UK and abroad, and is able to provide professional advice on all three strands of the Heritage and Townscape team's expertise, having worked as a consultant in the London team since May 2019. During this time, Alice has worked on numerous successful small and large scale projects nationwide, with a variety of clients and in collaboration with some of the UK's best architectural practices. Alice is fully conversant with all aspects of policy and guidance in relation to archaeolgical, heritage and townscape considerations, and is able to produce high quality reports to satisfy these requirements whilst meeting the needs of the client. Highlights of Alice's time at Savills include working with SimpsonHaugh architects to gain consent for a 32 storey student accommodation tower, adjacent to a Grade I listed church and numerous other heritage assets at Merrion Street, Leeds; advising on the heritage-led retrofit of the Grade II listed Sunlight House in Manchester; and supporting Dulwich Picture Gallery to gain consent for a new Children's Picture Gallery in the grounds of the Grade II* listed gallery building, as well as providing additional facilities for school visits through extending the Grade II listed Gallery Cottage.
