Michael Greet

Michael has been working in the Truro office since 2013 specialising in rural estate and portfolio management.

Michael gained a masters with distinction in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester following a BSc (hons) degree in Geography at the University of Bristol. He began his surveying career with Bidwells in Cambridge managing mixed portfolio estates in the East of England. His experience there ranged from corporate client management to professional work for private client trusts and institutional management. After 7 years Michael returned to Cornwall to take up an associate position at the Savills Cornwall office predominantly managing private client estates. In 2016 he was promoted to associate director, sitting on the national estate benchmarking group and represents the South West for Savills’ charity and institutional rural group.

Michael manages the Diocese of Truro glebe estate, using his experience of institutional mixed portfolio estates to deliver property returns in accordance with specialist ecclesiastical law and the client’s charitable objectives. Michael is the lead agent and oversees management of over 16,000 acres of principally rural estates. Specialisms include the promotion and delivery of residential development projects on behalf of landowners and delivering rural diversification projects. With a wide range of experience in residential property management, Michael has assisted in the development of the firm’s client portal – a bespoke client access system to view performance, compliance and tenancy information.

Michael grew up on a dairy farm in Cornwall and returned to his roots with his young family in 2013. He enjoys assisting with the family farm and travelling the UK in support of his family’s national hunt racehorse.
