Connor Hewitson

Connor started within the commercial property industry in 2017 having studied Building Surveying and graduated from Northumbria University. He then joined a North East multidisciplinary commercial practice overseeing a range of instructions before working in a client-side role for a large hotel, bar and restaurant chain advising on all property related matters from refurbishments to advising on capital expenditure budgets. He then moved back into a consultancy role with Savills in 2025. Connor gained his chartership in 2022 and now works as an Associate in Savills building & projects consultancy in their Newcastle branch.

Connor advises clients on all commercial property matters. His main area of expertise is acting as contract administrator or project management allowing him to deliver client specific schemes to a high standard while either forming part of or overseeing the design teams. He also has worked alongside both landlord and tenants before and during dilapidations negotiations across office, industrial and retail sectors to ensure claims are fair and reasonable for both parties. Other areas of his expertise include reinstatement cost assessments, schedules of conditions, pre-acquisition surveys, scheme design drawings and other professional report writing.

Connor has a keen interest in rugby, having played at various levels up until around 2021 until several serious injuries moved his sporting focus across to golf. Having two spaniels, Connor takes advantage Northumberland and Cumbria to fill the weekends when the North East weather allows.
