What LGTBQ+ history can teach us in modern times

Savills concluded LGBTQ+ History Month with a webinar inviting people to listen to esteemed human rights campaigner, Peter Tatchell, talk about what LGBTQ+ history can teach us in modern times.

More than 300 guests, including key Savills clients, logged on to watch Peter talk about his years of campaigning and direct action that were successful in making fundamental changes to laws concerning LGBTQ+ people here in the UK. This was followed by a Q+A led by Tony Griffiths, director in the valuation team and co-chair of the Savills LGBTQ+ group and Mia Scaggiante, associate director in the planning team. Questions covered everything from what the UK still needs to do to support the LGBTQ+ community both here and globally, to why it is crucial that we do not get complacent when it comes to key LGBTQ+ issues.
