Savills Development, Planning and Urban Design Teams supported the Kings School in their plans to redevelop four sites within central Macclesfield and the creation of a new campus. We prepared masterplans for the town centre sites, including the production of Design and Access Statements and Townscape & Visual Appraisals. The sites occupy sensitive locations, including areas covered by Green Belt and conservation area designations and views towards listed buildings. Our approach complemented the existing Edwardian streetscapes, creating a cohesive network of streets and spaces structured around existing trees and integrating with the wider townscape and landscapes beyond.
