The proposed redevelopment for 134 Kenton Road, in the London Borough of Harrow, will be a residential-led scheme, comprising 103 co-living and 109 build to rent units, and a drinking establishment use on the ground floor. The scheme will also comprise 35% affordable housing, 25% family homes, public realm improvements and a wide range of sustainability measures.
The Call-In process was expedient with the application being called-in on 1 December 2025 and determined by the Deputy Mayor at a public hearing on 20 March 2026.
This represents a good example of densification of a highly sustainable brownfield site, adjacent to Kenton train station with excellent transport links into Central London.
Nicola Forster, planning director at Savills, says: “We are very pleased to have secured planning consent for this scheme, which will provide a valuable contribution to housing delivery in Harrow and London. The approval highlights our ability to work with the Mayor and the new Call-In procedures to fast-track planning consents and to deliver a positive outcome.”
