London Planning and Savills Earth gain approval for Phase 2 of the Ebury Bridge Renewal Masterplan

The London planning team working with Savills Earth, on behalf of Westminster City Council (WCC),  have gained reserved matters approval for Phase 2 of the regeneration masterplan at the Ebury Bridge Estate.

Ebury Bridge Renewal is currently one of the largest and most significant regeneration projects in Westminster.   The project sets new standards in how large scale estate regeneration is undertaken.

This approval will see the delivery of:

  • A high-quality residential neighbourhood for the community of Ebury existing and new
  • Delivery of 334 high-quality new homes as part of a masterplan of c.800, of which 75.1% in this phase will be affordable
  • Re-provision of existing affordable homes with uplift, allowing existing residents the right to return
  • Beautifully designed new homes with more than 90% dual aspect
  • Tenure blind approach to facilitate a mixed and balanced community
  • Adhering to Westminster City Council’s net zero carbon approach through highly efficient new homes
  • New public realm, which incorporates play space to meet all ages of play and high-quality landscaped open space
  • A brand new community space
  • Providing active frontages along Ebury Bridge Road

Kirsty Turner, who led on the project, says; ‘This project was a great Savills collaboration with Savills Earth, environmental, and viability teams advising. The permission now means WCC can press on with delivering the much needed homes in the borough.’

She continues, ‘The new development will set a standard for Westminster’s ground-breaking vision for the new Ebury Bridge Estate, delivering exceptional design quality.’
