Savills appoint Ashley Gale to lead new homes team in Cambridge

Savills has appointed Associate Director Ashley Gale to lead its new homes team in Cambridge.

Ashley joined Savills in 2025 and has over 20 years’ experience in the property sector, having previously worked for regional housebuilders Hopkins Homes and Weston Homes.

Since joining Savills, he has been an important part of the residential development sales team in Cambridge, advising developers on how best to market their homes and guiding buyers through the sales process.

His appointment comes as residential development markets in and around Cambridge continue to evolve, with housebuilders seeking access to a wide range of buyers and integrated sales strategies that combine local market knowledge with national reach.

Commenting on his new role, Ashley said: “I’m delighted to be taking this next step in my career. Our team is extremely active in the local market and we are increasingly involved in identifying and advising our clients on how best to take their schemes forward.

“Although not without its challenges, demand for new homes in and around Cambridge remains robust – largely driven by continued investment in the life science and technology sectors alongside Addenbrooke’s and Royal Papworth hospitals.

“The opening of Cambridge South station, AstraZeneca’s recent commitment to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and GSK’s plans to relocate to Cambridge from Stevenage will ensure the city and its surrounds continue to be an attractive proposition for the foreseeable future – and I’m excited to see how we can continue to grow and develop our service in line with clients’ needs and expectations.”

Tom Fraser, head of office at Savills in Cambridge, added: “The strength of our business is reflected in the continued progression and development of our staff and I would like to extend my congratulations to Ashley, whose hard work and dedication make this promotion very well deserved.

“He consistently delivers exceptional results and sound advice for our clients and his appointment will ensure they continue to benefit from best-in-class local expertise alongside access to the full breadth of Savills national and international capabilities."
