US-based fitness franchise Omni Fight Club, represented by Savills, is seeking its first UK sites as part of the brand’s expansion into Europe.
The cardio kick-boxing experience, which operates under the strap line ‘Fun Tough Fitness’, was created in a small 624 sq ft (58 sq m) studio at The Omni Club of Athens, Georgia in 2005. Strong demand from participants soon created the requirement for a second site, followed by rapid expansion across the US through a franchise model.
Omni Fight Club has now secured master franchisees for the UK, Ireland, Spain and Portugal, enabling the brand’s European roll out. In the UK, it is seeking sites of between 2,600 sq ft and 5,400 sq ft (242 sq m and 502 sq m) with minimum ceiling heights of 3.8 metres in areas with high population or high employment density.
Sean Phillips, CEO of Omni Fight Club Europe, comments: "Omni Fight Club is more than just a safe, inspiring place to work out. We’re all about engaging with and giving back to the local communities we are lucky enough to serve. We are redefining the member experience by creating an atmosphere where people feel successful from their first class and seasoned exercisers continue to advance their fitness through amazing full body workouts, supported by cutting edge technology solutions.
“We will continue to grow our signature HEROES program, through which we celebrate and reward veterans and active military personnel, first responders and the unsung heroes of the nursing and teaching professions along with their families. We are thrilled to be launching our European expansion in the UK.”
Carlene Hughes, associate director in the leisure team at Savills, adds: “The Omni Fight Club concept of ‘train like a fighter without getting hit’ has become immensely successful in the US over the last 13 years. With appetite for boutique fitness offers remaining strong in the UK, we expect the brand to prove equally popular with consumers here.”
