Savills represented purchasers in some of the year’s most significant deals including the acquisition of The Leadenhall Building, Cannon Place and Rathbone Square. Outside of London Savills was involved in the acquisition of Eastleigh Works and Three Rivers Office Park in Rickmansworth.
Stephen Down, executive director and head of Central London investment, comments: “The level of investment that we witnessed in London in 2017 surpassed all expectation, with the city proving its worth as the most liquid real estate market in the world. Through our global cross-border network we are able to harness the overseas appetite for the UK, working with both experienced and first-time property investors in the market. When these investors begin to look beyond London in search of higher yields we can work with our UK investment team to accommodate them.”
James Gulliford, joint head of UK investment, adds: “The coverage of our investment team across the UK ensures that we provide clients with the best possible service and advice. The ranking as top acquisition agent is testament to this and follows a successful and busy 2017.”
