James Kernot

James is a senior architectural designer within the building & project consultancy division.

James began his career at Savills in 2018, becoming the first architectural apprentice for the business, working within the workplace & design team. Since then, he has completed his RIBA Part 1 degree and is now undertaking his Master of Architecture as part of the Oxford BPC team.

James specialises in the architectural design, retrofitting, and refurbishment of heritage commercial and residential buildings, enhancing the energy efficiency of building fabric through innovative retrofitting solutions. He delivers projects from feasibility studies to completion, covering all RIBA Stages (1-7), with a focus on providing well-rounded designs, construction management, and efficient project delivery for his clients.
