Savills sustainability team has been appointed by GLP, a global provider of logistics solutions, to provide specialist environmental, social and governance (ESG) advice across its portfolio. Additionally Savills is providing social value measurement services for one of GLP’s developments.
Savills was appointed to review and develop GLP in Europe’s sustainability targets, strategy, policies, processes and decision making in regards to key social, ethical and environmental issues, through the creation of a sustainability roadmap and implementation plan.
In addition, Savills provides ongoing support in implementing the agreed roadmap and working on sustainability related projects. Activities include reviewing target setting, policies, investment, development strategies, materials, social and community impact, appointment of contractors and consultants, design of building specifications and installation, as well as building products in use and decommissioning. Savills has assisted in developing actions required for the company’s GRESB submissions, including an acquisition checklist, certification guidance and tenant engagement documents.
Savills activities have also included advising on which net zero carbon commitment the company could align with and developing a social value checklist to assess contractors with. The sustainability team also provides social value measurement services for GLP, in line with the firm’s ambitions to be the world’s most pioneering logistics developer in the sustainability field.
