Our client, Brit Insurance, required a 70,000 sq ft office, in an iconic building, for their new UK headquarters in London. The works needed to dovetail with a lease end event in their existing premises.
Savills project management looked after the entire fit out and relocation process which included both Category A and Category B works across five floors in the Leadenhall Building. Their works also included two interlinking staircases and professional catering facilities.
Savills oversaw the appointment of the professional team, design processes and competitive tendering of the works. We then continued to project manage the works once on site through to practical completion. The entire process from start to finish was completed in just 10 months. We also navigated complex landlord approval processes to ensure the works we able to start on site as soon as possible following appointment of the contractor.
I was impressed of how the team took full ownership for the delivery of the project through all stages. Their ‘no stone left unturned approach’ helped ensure that the project was delivered without any surprises and to our agreed time, cost and quality objective.

Overall, the project was a fast-track and high-quality fit out, and Savills ensured it was delivered on programme, within budget and guaranteed the key existing property exit dates could be met. Savills was able to structure the project so that the works were fully designed by an independent project team and then competitively tendered to contractors in order to provide full transparency in both design and pricing.
