Savills has successfully secured planning permission on behalf of Prologis for the comprehensive redevelopment of two sites.

The first at Prologis Park West London was formerly designated as an office growth location and partially located within the Green Belt. The redevelopment will provide up to 45,000 sq m of light industrial use as well as storage and distribution uses (classes B1c/B2/B8). Since securing planning permission, Savills has continued to advise Prologis with regards to post consent requirements, including the discharge of conditions and the payment of the Community Infrastructure Levy. Most recently, Savills has secured approval for amendments to the permission, allowing for the site to be used as a data centre.
The second site at Maylands Gateway comprises 54,000 sq m of industrial and logistics space in Hemel Hempstead which will deliver seven units in a range of building sizes set within extensive landscaping. Key issues in the planning process included the need to divert two foot paths and to deal with significant archaeology and ecology on the site, together with extensive levels of public interest. Work is progressing on the site and we expect the first occupations to take place shortly.
