Savills is focused on climate-related risks and working together with its clients, suppliers and the local communities to deliver a more sustainable future.
Savills (UK) Ltd is committed to achieving net zero carbon in operation by 2030 and influencing the wider industry to work towards carbon neutrality. Our target is aligned with the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment, based on 2019 guidance. As part of our Group commitment we are also working towards net zero carbon for our value chain (Scope 3) greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2040.
Separately Savills has worked with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to validate near-term decarbonisation targets with as part of this, Savills being recognised by the Race to Zero and Business Ambition for 1.5°C campaigns. Savills near-term SBTi targets are:
- Savills plc commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 72% by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
- Savills plc also commits to reduce scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services 51.6% per million GBP of value added by 2030 from a 2022 base year.

The UN set out Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for businesses around the world. We have aligned with 9 of the 17 UN SDGs that are the most relevant to our business, three of which come under our climate approach:
- Affordable & Clean Energy: We aim to maximise energy efficiency, minimise carbon emissions and work continuously towards net zero carbon targets globally.
- Climate Action: Work continuously to reduce carbon emissions and report in accordance with our Task Force for Climate Related Disclosure obligations.
- Responsible Consumption and Production: We seek to reduce our environmental impacts through acrtive operational management and responsible procurement
