With over 15 years’ professional experience, Harriet specialises in woodland management, grant identification and administration, woodland carbon sequestration, and GIS‑based woodland mapping systems. Her work is rooted in a detailed understanding of how to manage complex and sensitive woodland environments, with a particular interest in identifying and mitigating the increasing threats posed by pests and diseases.
Harriet has extensive experience working on Estates where woodlands sit within highly protected or historically significant settings, including Registered Gardens, Scheduled Monuments, and SSSIs. This has enabled her to develop a thoughtful and balanced approach to woodland management that protects natural and heritage assets while strengthening woodland resilience and long‑term sustainability.
She brings a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic insight, supporting a wide range of clients in enhancing the health, value and environmental performance of their woodlands. She also designs and delivers cross‑sector projects that advance woodland management and carbon outcomes across diverse landscapes.
Alongside her professional role, Harriet serves as a Board Member and Director of the Royal Forestry Society, contributing to sector leadership and the promotion of best practice across UK forestry.
She is committed to continuous learning and collaboration, and particularly enjoys helping clients and colleagues understand the full potential of well‑managed woodlands—from improving resilience to safeguarding historic landscapes. This is reflected in her full Professional Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
