George is a Chartered Town Planner within the Bristol planning team. He provides planning advice on projects throughout Bristol and south west England.
He studied Politics at the University of the West of England and completed a Masters in Urban Planning in November 2019. George joined the Savills Graduate Scheme in May 2019 and became a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2022. He previously worked for a financial services firm in Bristol.
A selection of George's recent projects is provided below: One Passage Street, Bristol – supported V7 Asset Management in gaining planning permission for a new office in central Bristol which intends to be one of the most environmentally sustainable buildings in the south west.
Dove Lane, Bristol – supported Places for People in gaining planning permission for mixed-use development including 358 new homes (over 71 of which affordable) in central Bristol.
Silverthorne Lane, Bristol – supported Square Bay in a successful Call-In Inquiry, gaining planning permission from the Secretary of State for the redevelopment of a brownfield site in central Bristol. The scheme, which is currently being built, will provide new homes, a secondary school, student accommodation, and an educational building for the University of Bristol.
Hengrove Leisure Park, Bristol – supported AEW in gaining outline planning permission for up to 350 homes at the site of a previously-developed out-of-town leisure park.
Payne’s Shipyard, Bristol – supporting SNG in discharging pre-commencement conditions and implementing a planning permission for a brownfield redevelopment that will deliver 154 affordable homes.
His key planning interests include inner-city regeneration, affordable housing delivery, and strategic development opportunities.
