Andrew Buroni

Andrew is a market leader for planning focused Health Impact Assessment (HIA) in the UK. He has designed, delivered and presented evidence at public inquiry and issue specific hearing for some of the most complex planning focused examples of HIA, and has an unmatched catalogue of project experience ranging from local planning through to DCO and Hybrid Bill.

When considering health in planning, it is often useful to frame the scope through a Public Health lens, namely health protection, health promotion and health care.

Andrew provides clients with specialist advice in all three, removing and managing potential and perceived health risk;  providing health intelligence to form healthy urban design priorities and solutions, and advising on the provision of health and social care assets that address underlying challenges, and provide enduring positive health legacy's.

In so doing, it is possible to respond to community and health stakeholder concerns rapidly, robustly and with confidence; prevent, reduce and delay the need for clinical intervention and social care through bespoke healthy urban design; significantly improve the capability and viability of care in the community, while reducing unsustainable costs to local authorities and the NHS.
