
Gregory has been a project manager with Savills since 2001 specialising in large scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects. He has actively worked on the COD delivery of over 500MW of renewable energy projects.
Gregory started his career with Savills in 2001 as assistant project manager on the 1,400km 186k fibre optic network being developed by Transco. He moved on to become a project manager on a number of cellular roll out programmes before developing an interest in renewable energy and its relevancy to land and property.
In 2010 Gregory started working on proposals for Savills to joint venture with solar developers and spent the subsequent five years working with a number of leading UK development clients resulting in over 250MW of large-scale solar sites being deployed. He currently acts for a number of developers in site finding, energy portfolio developments, as well as landowners in lease rights negotiations, allowing him to understand all sides of land negotiations for energy projects. He provides services to a number of investment funds with existing solar and wind portfolios. He has a good working knowledge of planning and land rights and provides due diligence assessments across a wide variety of schemes, as well as large scale portfolio reviews.
Gregory has an excellent expertise in developing strategies for energy development programmes, utilising experience from over 2 decades of service within the energy development industry. A good understanding of how GIS can be utilised to best optimise search and roll out programmes along with a comprehensive understanding of Option and Lease agreement structures.
Gregory's extensive knowledge and understanding of both landlord and tenant requirements in brokering land deals is invaluable in getting deals done to the satisfaction of all parties.
Gregory is a passionate cook, with a great repertoire in Asian cuisine from South East Asia and Southern Asia. Based out the market town of Wimborne he has befriended a significant number of Asian food wholesalers in his pursuit for authentic ingredients and makes a claim to probably be the only person with a Kaffir lime tree in Dorset that he has grown for the last 10 years.
