Frederick Gatfield

Frederick joined Savills in 2022 and is based at head office in London, working nationally with the heritage and townscape team.

Frederick has advanced skills in analysing historic buildings and researching their past. Following a masters degree in building history at Cambridge University, he began working in planning in 2021, and then joined Savills heritage and townscape in 2022, gaining Associate Membership of the IHBC in 2023.

His recent experience has included in-depth studies of country houses and grade I listed buildings for education and ecclesiastical clients. He has secured certificates of immunity from listing for historic buildings, and advised on projects involving conservation areas, registered parks and gardens, and scheduled monuments.

Outside work, Frederick is a keen rower and fencer, and a frequent visitor to his native county of Norfolk.
