Clarke joined Savills in 2012, providing specialised compulsory purchase and compensation advice covering a broad spectrum of CPO related matters
Clarke acts on behalf of a wide range of acquiring authorities as well as property owners with land affected by a compulsory purchase order ('claimants'). A good balance of work between these two groups provides him with the insight necessary to genuinely understand the concerns and motivations of both ends of this often polarised area of the property profession.
Following graduation, he initially entered the profession as a trainee valuer in Christchurch, New Zealand. Clarke moved to London in 2003 with the intention of "seeing some of the world for a couple of years". He still loves living in London, but will always call New Zealand home, especially when the rugby is on.
