Jay joined Savills in 2016 as a director in the Manchester planning team. His expertise includes the preparation, submission and negotiation of major planning applications.
Jay is a town planner with 17 years’ experience working in both public and private sectors. Before joining Savills, Jay worked for Deloitte Real Estate where he advised on a range of complex planning projects across the north west, with a particular focus on regeneration projects in Manchester.
Prior to this he worked for several years in the public sector (including a senior planner role at Manchester city council), during which time he gained extensive experience of local authority development control. This mixture of private and public sector experience has given Jay an enviable insight into planning control and developmental policy, which he uses to great effect.
