Aniela supports developers, landowners and investors across the UK in meeting Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements and navigating ecology-related considerations throughout the planning and development process.
Aniela is a Strategic Ecologist within Savills' Natural Capital team, specialising in BNG and ecological strategy. She works with clients across the planning and development sector to identify commercially viable BNG solutions and integrate strategic ecological considerations into site design and delivery.
Aniela holds a first-class Master of Biology (MBiol) degree from Newcastle University and has over four years' experience in ecological consultancy. Her interest in ecology began before university and throughout her studies and early career she gained experience undertaking habitat surveys, protected species surveys and general ecological consultancy services. This technical background provides a strong foundation for her current strategic role, enabling her to understand both ecological constraints and commercial development objectives.
Since joining Savills in 2026, Aniela has worked on a range of habitat bank projects, BNG strategies and development schemes across the UK. Her experience includes biodiversity metric reviews, habitat bank appraisals, ecological due diligence and advising on habitat creation opportunities. She regularly supports clients in reviewing baseline habitat data, identifying cost-effective approaches to BNG delivery and understanding the implications of evolving biodiversity policy and legislation.
Aniela combines technical ecological knowledge with a strong understanding of development viability and planning risk, helping clients balance habitat delivery, policy compliance and commercial objectives. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
