Naim is a rate payment manager in the rating team at Savills since 2025 and based in Finsbury Circus, London; with a career in business rates since 2016, of which over 8 years were spent at a local authority.
Naim began his career as an apprentice on the business rates team at the City of London Corporation. After being promoted, Naim spent the majority of his time there as a revenues officer. Working in a local authority capacity for many years has given Naim expertise in all aspects of rates administration including billing and recovery, changes of liability and reliefs.
At Savills, this has allowed Naim to confidently engage with councils on behalf of clients, providing updates and securing savings in the form of rates mitigation and reliefs. Naim also has extensive experience with the recovery process, and can advise clients how to prevent and deal with any reminders, summonses and enforcement action.
Born and raised in Tower Hamlets, a stones throw away from Canary Wharf, Naim is a keen advocate for social mobility. Having built a successful career through apprenticeships, Naim is also a supporter of apprenticeship schemes as an alternative pathway to university, and has spoken about his experiences at apprenticeship inductions and events.
