James has over five years’ experience in renewable energy consultancy, generating and developing decarbonisation strategies for real estate clients across the UK. James is an expert in the private wire market, combining his experience with behind-the-meter generation developments on commercial and industrial assets, and his knowledge of utility-scale developments. With a background in mechanical engineering and experience working for energy suppliers in demand market settlements, James offers clients a rare combination of technical depth and commercial insight—ensuring solutions are not only sustainable, but financially and operationally robust.

James advises commercial clients on routes to decarbonising their assets' energy supplies, utilising a multi-technology approach to assess the optimal solution for each scenario. His work extends to smart micro-grids and BESS integrations for complex projects, and developing these projects to completion.

In his spare time, James enjoys spending playing and watching cricket with his local team and exploring northeast London's food and coffee spots.
