Georgios Askounis

Georgios is a sustainability engineer with broad experience in development and implementation of sustainable, net zero and circular economy strategies and design solutions for the real estate sector. 

Georgios joined Savills in April 2022. He was previously leading the London team of KLH sustainability as associate director. He is a chartered engineer with MCIBSE and holds a MSc in Environmental Design & Engineering from UCL. He is a thought leader in his area and is collaborating with the Haringey Quality Review Panel as sustainability expert.

He is a chartered engineer with experience in technical energy analysis, development of low energy and low carbon strategies, sustainable materials and sustainable construction. He uses his technical knowledge and inquisitive nature to drive a sustainable built environment. Georgios specialises in decarbonisation plans for large and complex buildings, masterplans and portfolios, such as such as science parks, factories and retail parks. He is a certified Passivhaus Designer He has a special interest in sustainable materials, construction and application of circular economy principles to reduce the environmental impact of real estate.

His hobbies include travelling, architecture and design, tennis, cycling and drawing.
