David has been the national head of rating for Savills since 2006 with extensive experience in all areas of business rates management and mitigation.
Having specialised in Business Rates consultancy since 1990, David is leading advisor in all areas of appeals, budgeting, reliefs and exemptions, and one of the country's leading technical specialists.
With specific experience in all market sectors, David is an expert in conventional valuation methods as well as more specialised receipts & expenditure valuations and complex contractors' test valuations. This has resulted from his involvement in the leisure sector, including motorway services, and the heavy manufacturing sector.
David is a regular contributor to the property and general press and has appeared before the Upper Tribunal as an expert witness in several leading cases.
