Mark joined Savills in June 2024 and manages the Land Consents North Team for Utilities & Infrastructures from the York Office.
Mark qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2003 and has worked as a Land Agent and Infrastructure Surveyor across the public and private sectors since then. Before joining Savills Mark worked for Northumbrian Water and the Environment Agency and has been involved with a wide range of projects including HS2, flood alleviation schemes and various road and rail schemes throughout his career. More recently he has been involved with District Heating Networks and obtaining third party agreements for renewables developers. Mark also deals with compensation claims, lease negotiations and land purchases.
Mark's role within Savills is primarily focused on running the region and making sure projects are delivered and resourced appropriately. He is a point of escalation for others and deals with difficult cases and technical work requiring more experience and strategy.
Mark has a young family, which takes up most of his spare time but is a qualified rugby coach and uses his skills to coach Ripon RUFC u12s, where his son plays. Fishing of all sorts has been a hobby since childhood as has mountain biking and skiing is a favourite during the winter months.
