Fred Cook based in our Salisbury office gives a snapshot of what is happening in the Central Southern region regarding the farmland market. Fred explains that values are holding strong but there is record low levels of farmland available on the open market. However, looking to the future it’s difficult to tell what will happen but with a combination of the Environmental Land Management scheme, trade deals and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we anticipate that all will play a significant part on the farmland market throughout 2021, and values are expected to continue in a stable line with more farmland coming to the market than in previous years.
