Rewilding is the turning of arable land permanent pasture into mosaic scrubs of open grassland, bare land and water. Countryside Stewardship is underpinning these rewilding projects via grants and funding and so not only does it make it financially viable but it opens up opportunities allowing farmers to increase their environmental and social credentials as these projects create a wildlife haven.
