Abi Gibbs joined Savills in 2015 and works in the Richmond lettings team. She has worked in the area for over six years, so we asked her to share some of her favourite places.

Best Restaurant - Chez Lindsay

Rustic waterside restaurant that is really popular and has a relaxed setting. I am a frequent visitor for lunch and always go for their signature dish – galettes. These are pancakes that are made in the traditional way from organic buckwheat and come with various savoury fillings.

I recommend the galette with goats cheese, tomato, spinach and lettuce, it’s delicious. Seafood also features highly on the menu and there’s crêpes for dessert.

Best café - Kapucin

This authentic Italian coffee shop and bakery opened in 2017. It’s a very popular spot and close to Richmond Bridge and the waterfront. I love their coffee, pastries but also the Shakshuka – it’s the best.

The staff are really kind and the service is superb. Highly recommend you visit for breakfast/brunch, it’s the perfect start to the day in Richmond.

Best pub - White Swan

Country-style pub that is my number one choice in the area. The rear garden is a hidden gem with lots of tables in the sun. The food is fantastic, especially the beautifully cooked cod loin, steamed mussels and slow roast lamb chump.

It’s also a good choice in winter with a cosy feel and good atmosphere. Plus, the bar staff and waiters are very accommodating.

Best Park - Richmond Park

The largest of London’s Royal Parks and well worth exploring. There are open grassland and woodland trails with year-around appeal. With an abundance of activities, it’s the perfect day out for the family.

From spotting the famous deer, exploring Isabella Plantation and having lunch at Pembroke Lodge, there’s so much to be enjoyed in Richmond Park.
