Best Restaurant - La Trompette

This was Chiswick’s first Michelin-starred restaurant (2008) and helped put the area on the culinary map. It’s classy, understated and suitable for all occasions such as a celebratory evening or a midweek lunch. There is a daily menu which is well-priced for a Michelin star restaurant. The food is full of flavour, my favourite dishes are the Cornish squid and sardines, the wild Seabass and their cheese board is famous, with incredible variety. The service is also exceptional, making this a great choice for fine dining.

Best café – Rhythm & Brews

For a café with a difference, I definitely recommend this spot. The coffee is great and they have an amazing collection of vinyl you can choose from contributing to a great atmosphere. I tend to visit the café regularly at the weekend, pick an original vinyl and relax. The staff are lovely and they also serve some food for breakfast. There really is a great vibe to this place and it’s definitely worth a visit.

Best shopping – Turnham Green Terrace

This street has it all! There is a fantastic choice of fruit and veg at Lemon & Limes to the renowned Macken Brothers Butchers where the meat is organic. Hack & Veldt Delicatessen is a mix of a deli and coffee shop. It’s very popular and where I get my caffeine fix of Monmouth Coffee next to our office.

 

Best adventure - Chiswick House & Gardens

I tend to go with my family and our cheeky cockapoo ‘Bibble’ for a weekend walk, starting in Chiswick House & Gardens. It’s a real hidden gem next to the A4! Admire Lord Burlington’s 18th century architecture surrounded by the amazing gardens, and don’t miss the water feature cascade, follies and bridge. From there head to the riverside walking along the tow path of the Thames up to Chiswick Mall with stunning regency style houses overlooking the tranquil majestic river.
