Best Restaurant - Sticks and Sushi

The restaurant has a distinctive Scandi design and there’s a great energy and buzz to the place. I recently enjoyed a meal on their outside terrace, al fresco sushi dining! What could be better! The food is great and full of flavour, plus the service is of a high standard.

My stand out dish is the beef tataki and I also tend go for the seaweed salad, yellowtail and dragon roll. They also have some fantastic cocktails on the menu and if you fancy dessert, order the chocolate fondant. Definitely worth a visit.

Best café - Ole & Steen, Crossrail Place

This bakery originated in Denmark and have now opened a few bakeries in London. It’s always busy and you’re issued a ticket from a machine at the door and the charming staff call your number when they’re ready for you.

The cinnamon slice is unmissable, along with the dark chocolate swirl and the apple pie. Ole & Steen are also on Deliveroo, so you would be the most popular person at work if you ordered these pastries to the office. For me, it's the best bakery in town.

Best pub - The Gun

This is a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf. Its amongst a street of houses, so it can be easily missed. The staff are friendly and there’s a great selection of food and drinks. I haven’t tried the Sunday Roast yet but I’ve heard that it’s one of the best in London.

There is also a large outdoor terrace, which is great in the summer. You can watch the world go by and enjoy views of the Thames and the O2 arena.

Best shopping - Jubilee Place

In the same vicinity as Jubilee Park and the tube station, Jubilee Place is a pleasant upmarket shopping centre. Canada and Cabot Place are also in the same building but Jubilee Place is the stand out for me.

It has a fantastic range of shops including COS, The White Company, LuluLemon and Kiehl’s. It’s so useful having all of these shops so close to the office and I also use the Marks and Spencer’s if I’ve forgotten something in my weekly shop.
