About HMS Ganges
Savills was commissioned to undertake a comprehensive landscape and green infrastructure strategy covering the public and private realm areas of a proposed mixed-use waterfront development on the site of a former Royal Navy Training Establishment. The site had numerous heritage, landscape and ecological assets and constraints and the proposals were designed to respect and celebrate the site’s rich heritage. Many of the remnant features were retained and a new Natural and Historic Heritage Reserve was included. The proposals included a new linear park, formal gardens, dog walking and cycle routes and new play areas. shrub planting, including native and ornamental species.
