Thank you to those who attended the latest webinar in the Savills sponsored Cambridge University Land Society ESG series, organised by the Society’s ESG & Sustainability Forum.

In this webinar, held on Wednesday 1 February, our panellists discussed designing and delivering buildings to green standards that avoid greenwashing claims.  With under 8 years to go to 2030, the industry is still faced with a plethora of green building frameworks and net zero pathways and no single agreed standard for delivering green, new-build projects. There is a need to act urgently and to simply stop ‘ticking boxes’ and become more purpose focused in our thinking.

The lively debate was introduced by Ami Kotecha, Chair of ESG & Sustainability Forum at CULS and Co-Founder, Amro Partners, moderated by Louise Hutchins, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, UK Green Building Council, and included perspectives from our panellists:

Will Arnold, Head of Climate Action, the Institution of Structural Engineers, Martin Townsend, Director for Centre of Excellence for Sustainability, BSI, Marylis Ramos, Director, Savills Earth, and Kasper Guldager Jensen, Co-founder, Home.Earth.
