Achieved on behalf of Hyde Development Group, the scheme will deliver 211 new homes with 35% affordable housing, alongside two dedicated community spaces.
Designed to meet local housing needs, the development offers a significant proportion of family-sized homes, with over 40% of units providing three or more bedrooms.
The proposal received strong support from members of the Planning Committee, who recognised the importance of delivering high-quality affordable housing in the borough.
The success follows a year of extensive engagement with key stakeholders including the London Borough of Croydon, the Greater London Authority, Transport for London, elected members, the Mayor, and the local community.
Savills Planning was supported by the Heritage Team and Environment and Infrastructure colleagues, for Archaeology, Townscape and Health Impact Assessment services.
Diana Thomson, Director at Savills in the Planning team, commented: “We are pleased to have successfully steered this scheme through the planning process. It will benefit the local community by delivering affordable housing and community spaces.”
“We’re proud to have worked alongside Hyde Development Group to strengthen their presence in the local area. The scheme complements their neighbouring project to the south, which is set to deliver 100% affordable housing within the same residential allocation.”
