Savills Reading marks a decade in business with move to prestigious new office

The firm’s new home is at One Forbury Square, which occupies a prime position on the west side of the Square. Savills is located on the ground floor of the building, overlooking Forbury Square, which is also home to Davidson House and the Forbury Hotel.  

Phil Brown, head of Savills Reading, comments: ‘I am thrilled to announce our move to One Forbury Square. We have grown considerably over the last decade, from a relatively small specialist team into the market-leading multi-disciplinary business we are today.

‘As a result of our continued success, we set our sights on a move some time ago. Having secured the space last year, we have invested in an impressive fit out to meet our current and future needs, including, of course, ensuring it is as sustainable as possible.’

The 3,704 sq. ft. (344.1 sq. m) triple aspect office is home to specialist teams operating across a range of real estate services, including Residential Development Sales, Residential Lettings, Planning, Development, Valuation and Occupier Services.

The new office was designed by KKS Savills Design Studio. The team created flexible space that offers a vibrant environment for the Savills Reading team and its clients, including a striking reception area, open plan workspace, collaboration areas, break-out spaces, quiet rooms, including a wellness room, alongside two large meeting rooms that can be reconfigured to provide a 40 person training suite.

 Designers, Nikos Papapetrou and Beau Becquart, comment: ‘The full height reception area is an impressive architectural feature and provides a pivot around which the other spaces revolve. The design is practical while also offering a fresh and inspiring working environment, completed with a variety of finishes including timber and moss panels, mural wallcoverings, wooden and ceramic floors.’
