Douglas works in the rural discipline and leads the rural consultancy division for the Central region. He joined Savills initially in Hereford in 1992, moving to Oxford in 1998 before opening the Cheltenham office in 2007.
Douglas focuses on the management and development of landed estates which he has combined with his experience in the sale and purchase of farms and formal valuation and expert witness work. This combination gives him a diverse understanding of most issues arising on rural estates.
Douglas has a wide range of clients including private, corporate and Institutional landowners across a broad geographical region. He deals with all types of management issues and has particular experience in long term strategic estate planning including succession.
Douglas is also involved as a trustee where he has an active interest in investment in various asset classes. Family is a particular focus for Douglas and in his spare time he enjoys country pursuits, natural history and shared family sporting interests.
