Hamish Smales

Hamish has worked in the sector for over 10 years, providing advice to a range of private, institutional and farming clients across the North of England.

As a dedicated Rural Property Manager, Hamish specialises in the comprehensive management of agricultural, residential, and mixed-use estates. His role centres on delivering tailored, strategic support to landowners, investors, and other professional advisers, ensuring their assets are positioned for long-term growth and sustainability.

Born and Bred in the Tyne Valley, Hamish has deep routes in the rural sector, managing the family farm and always looking for ways to improve the farming landscape on the ground. He is also a Council member for the Northumberland Farmer Network. Outside the office, Hamish is a consultant rugby union referee, officiating at the top tiers of the game domestically and in Europe. He enjoys rural pursuits and array of sporting activities and is a member of a local choir.
