Across the programme, students during the week will undertake placements in our surveying (commercial, development, residential, affordable housing, operational capital markets), rural, building surveying, food & farming, forestry, sustainability, energy and town planning teams.
Our aim is to provide a taste of the work of Savills graduates and show how the property industry works. During aplacement we will offer the opportunity to attend virtual departmental talks to learn about other areas of the business, attend social events and meet directors from across Savills.
Savills Insight demonstrates how we work, and what real estate means. It is a valuable chance for students considering property amongst their options for a career, and especially to those who think Savills could be the employer of choice for them. Insight is also a great way to strengthen an application for our summer scheme (open to second year cognate and non-cognate students and third year non-cognate students) and the graduate programme (open to final year students and masters students).
the division
Savills affordable housing provides advice to housing associations, local authorities and their funders offering a broad range of services including asset management, stock rationalisation, development, surveying and delivery, valuations, treasury and debt advisory.
Our sector-leading affordable housing team is multi-disciplinary and primarily focuses on working with local authorities and registered social landlords (housing associations), investors and developers active in the social and affordable housing markets.
Our services cover development and regeneration, valuation, building consultancy, asset management, housing consultancy, portfolio sales and acquisitions, procurement and cost consultancy, fire risk consultancy, electrical testing and the writing of stock condition surveys, energy studies and surveys.
Our housing consultancy team advises on governance, IDA preparation, mergers, risk and assurance, strategic joint ventures and partnerships, registering for profit RPs, funding, treasury management and business planning.
All of our work is supported by the extensive expertise and resources available through the Savills network. We can assemble teams of experts to draw on in-house insight and research to offer a complete understanding of the property market from the perspective of each individual client.
