Savills has launched the Intergeneration D&I Group, dedicated to creating a workplace where colleagues of all ages and career stages feel valued and included.
Evolving from the former Age D&I Group, this refreshed identity reflects a commitment to fostering stronger connections across generations and disciplines. The group is supported by UK Board Sponsor Phillippa Dalby-Welsh and chaired by Director Beth Hocking.
Beth Hocking explains: “Our aim is to build on the strong foundations of inclusion by connecting generations and career stages, sharing experiences, and learning from one another.”
One standout initiative has been the introduction of an online quarterly coffee morning, bringing together colleagues from across teams, ages, and career stages. These sessions provide an inclusive space to discuss technology, client communication, and career development, while sharing practical advice on networking, visiting different offices, and using social media professionally. The impact has been clear: participants gave the sessions an average rating of 99.2% positive, describing them as fun, valuable, and rewarding — with many eager to return and recommend them to colleagues.
Looking ahead to 2026, the group will continue hosting events while collaborating with other Savills D&I networks, offering guidance and signposting support for colleagues navigating challenges inside and outside the workplace. Innovative plans are also underway to create even more opportunities for collaboration and engagement across the business.
