- Princes Gate was created using MOD land to offer a new town centre shopping destination linking the existing Tesco foodstore and allowing a combination of large format retail units akin to a retail park to blend into a piazza area formed by more traditional town centre retailers. In conjunction a leisure area blends into the scheme with a 60 bed Premier Inn Hotel and 7 screen Empire Cinema with restaurants to give Europe’s largest Military town a new shopping and leisure destination.
- Pre-lets included Next, Sports Direct, Iceland, Poundland, Brantano, Boots, Pets at Home, Cotswold Outdoor, Greene King, Premier Inn, KFC, Costa and Empire.
- Since opening, new lettings have been completed with Subway, Domino’s, Prezzo, Holland & Barrett, Yorkshire Trading Company, The Original Factory Shop & Shoe Zone.
- Savills Investment Team sold the scheme in May 2016 to Ventnor Group who subsequently sold to Savills Investment Management.
- We have undertaken a retail agency role (asset management and lettings) on this scheme since 2015. In addition Savills Property Management team and Building Surveying are involved.
