Our Heritage and Townscape consultants provided heritage, townscape and visual impact advocacy on behalf of Hill as part of successful regeneration proposals at Ham Close, London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames. The proposed development designed by BPTW comprises demolition of existing buildings on-site and phased mixed-use development comprising 452 residential homes (Class C3) up to six storeys; a Community/Leisure Facility (Class F2) of up to 3 storeys in height, a “Maker Labs” (sui generis) of up to 2 storeys together with basement car parking and site wide landscaping. The proposed development and its impact on the surrounding heritage, townscape and visual receptors were assessed as part of the ES HTVIA report produced by Savills Heritage and Townscape in April 2022. In December 2022, the proposals received unanimous resolution to grant from Richmond’s planning committee.
