Estate Regeneration and Affordable Housing Delivery

Temple Cowley Pools

Client: Catalyst Housing

Savills secured full planning permission for 48 new affordable homes in a mix of apartments, semi-detached and terraced properties on the former Temple Cowley Pools site, Oxford.

Work included extensive public consultation, presentations to the Oxford Design Review Panel and pre-application discussions with the Local Planning Authority. The application was backed by the committee despite a long running campaign to save the former Temple Cowley Pools on the site.

The proposal was submitted to Oxford City Council in May 2016 and gained approval in March 2017. Construction for the scheme was completed in 2020.
