Case Study

The Antonine Shopping Centre

Cumbernauld

Commercialisation

Investors instructed Savills to manage the recently purchased shopping centre. The site surveyor asked us to carry out a full review of the centre's commercialisation activity and to report back to the client with a strategy for improvement.

We carried out a full review of all activity over four years, assessing the service provided by their incumbent commercialisation provider, the advertising opportunities of the centre and additional added value income opportunities such as vending and coin op. To fully assess the opportunities we met with multiple providers across the industry to obtain preferential terms and benchmarked the centre against comparable schemes to generate a competitive analysis of the market.

After assessing the outcome of the review and implementing the new recommended strategy, the centre benefited from three new mall kiosks, a full digital advertising offer and a revised coin op service contract.

The client will now receive £50,000+ additional annual income from commercial activity than prior to Savills was instructed.
