We have provided advice and assistance to local authorities going through stock transfer, both pre and post ballot, as well as establishing new associations. We have also advised on partial transfers, working with the Local Authority and their tenants to carry out an exhaustive partner selection process, and assisted RPs in bidding for such opportunities.
The team posses all the skills necessary to achieve a successful stock transfer, including project management skills, financial expertise and human resource specialists. We have built an excellent relationship with the stock transfer registration unit at the Tenant Services Authority and can provide a complete service to guide you through the transfer minefield.
Our Expertise:
Our experienced team have worked together on around 20 transfers. As well as the traditional positive value transfers to newly established associations, as in North Hertfordshire and Sedgefield, we have also worked on negative value transfers, both were gap funding has been provided, as in Plymouth, and on negative value partial transfers, in Gosport and Hackney, where the Business Plan has to make good the shortfall.
We also have considerable experience of working for local authorities in post ballot situations. In some cases we have acted as Lead Consultant through the pre-ballot period but where a partner Association has been selected with their own advisors, or where we have come in after the ballot after the Lead Consultant has opted to support the new organisation.
