Our Expertise:

Offshore Trusts / Companies holding UK property – Our expertise covers advice on the proposed Annual Charge as well as rebasing elections to 6 April 2008. For properties coming out of companies consideration needs to be given to putting debt against the property to mitigate IHT liabilities.

Probate valuations – Our valuers provide advice on all aspects of probate valuations.

UK trust properties – Providing valuation advice to trusts to calculate ten yearly tax charges and valuations for IHT and litigation schemes and rental valuations to avoid reservation of benefit issues. 

Negotiation with District Valuers – With our network of estate agency offices, we take on negotiations even at short notice to negotiate with the DV to reach a fair and reasonable conclusion. 

Principal Private Residence relief – Expert advice providing the apportionment of this valuable tax relief, where we have been successful in arguing with the DV that additional land and buildings over and above the maximum of 0.5 hectares (1.23 acres) can be covered by such relief, if required, for the reasonable enjoyment of a dwelling house.

US IRS property appraisals – We have experience in acting as qualified appraisers for formal valuations for IRS purposes.

Accounts–We also specialise in the valuation of commercial and residential investments and portfolios in the UK for secured lending, accounts, acquisitions and sales, including strategy advice.
